Enabling synchronous ABAP and Java transports
The transition to SAP NetWeaver often results in an increased level of heterogeneity in SAP systems. This in turn makes it more difficult to maintain synchronous Change and Transport Management for ABAP and Java applications. Previously, change processes were handled manually, a method which carried much potential for error.

TransportManager minimizes the risks of manual transmission. Simultaneous Java and ABAP transports into the production environment are never jeopardized, not even by varying administrative rights in the context of the authorization process in SAP Change Management. This is achieved by setting specific predecessor/successor and/or companion relations.

TransportManager 5.1 can be effortlessly integrated into existing SAP infrastructures, which enables our customers to now take advantage of the benefits provided by TransportManager in connection with Java. The new solution is based on SAP's CTS+ concept that was developed along with the NetWeaver 2004s release and helps companies implement secure and controlled Transport and Change Management.
