for Applicants and Interested Persons (f/m/d)
With the following information, we would like to give you an overview of the processing of your personal data in the context of your application or general expression of interest, as well as inform you about the rights to which you are entitled in this context as a person affected by the data processing.
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This can be, for example, your name, your address, your telephone number or information about your professional background.
The term “data processing” includes the collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, deletion and destruction of personal data.
The legal regulations for the processing of personal data result from the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
We process personal data in various situations. For example, you may be affected by data processing if you have a contractual relationship with us or surf our website. This data protection information applies to data processing that is carried out in your capacity as an applicant and interested person (f/m/d) for open positions with us in the recruiting process.
For internal applicants and interested persons (f/m/d) who are already employees of REALTECH AG, the company regulations on data protection also apply.
Responsible for the processing is:

In the application process, we only process the personal data that you send us with your application and/or provide to us during the further recruitment process.
As a rule, this involves the following data:
Surname, first name and date of birth; contact details (telephone number, e-mail address); application data such as CV, cover letter and certificates
It is also possible that we may receive data from recruitment agencies to which you have submitted your application documents. The data is processed in the same way as for direct applications.
We do not visit private profiles in social networks.
If a job interview is conducted via a web meeting, we process further data that is necessary to conduct the online meeting:
- Communication data (e.g. your e-mail address, if you provide it)
- Personal master data (if you provide it), log files, protocol data, metadata (e.g. IP address, time of participation, etc.).
- Additional data may also be required, but this depends on the web meeting tool used to conduct the interview (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom, etc.). In this case, we will provide additional information as part of the application process. We will also provide information about possible recipients and any transfers to third parties.
The data will be used exclusively for the purpose of conducting the interview.
The legal basis for data processing results from Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR (in Germany primarily § 26 BDSG) and, if applicable, from Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest lies in the smooth organization of the online meeting.
We process the data you provide to check your application and your suitability for the advertised position and to carry out the application process. The legal basis in this respect is Art. 88 GDPR, § 26 BDSG.
It may also be necessary for your data to be processed for the defence or enforcement of legal claims. Our legitimate interest also lies in this purpose. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
If your application documents contain special categories of personal data pursuant to Art. 9 (1) GDPR, we will process these as part of the application process to exercise rights or fulfil obligations under labour law, social security law and social protection law. The legal basis in this respect is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR in conjunction with Art. 9 para. 2 lit. Art. 9 para. 2 lit. b GDPR and Section 26 para. 3 BDSG.
The personal data stored by us will be deleted in accordance with legal requirements. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of processing, a given consent is revoked or other permissions no longer apply. Documents of unsuccessful applicants (f/m/d) will be deleted four months after the end of the application process. It may also be necessary for your data to be processed for the defense or enforcement of legal claims. Our legitimate interest also lies in this purpose. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
Due to Art. 8 of the GDPR, we require the consent of the legal representative or legal guardian for the processing of personal data of persons under the age of 16, otherwise we cannot consider the application in the application process.
We treat the fact that you are applying to us or are interested in our company, as well as your personal data, confidentially. Your applicant data will exclusively be passed on to the positions or persons in the company who need this data to carry out the application process and to check the candidate profiles.
Your data is not transferred to a third country or processed in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
No, automated decision-making does not take place.
Applications and expressions of interest are voluntary. The provision of your personal data about your previous professional and/or educational background, your qualifications, your skills and information about yourself and how you can be contacted is necessary so that we can find out whether you as an applicant or interested person (f/m/d) and the vacancies to be filled are a good match and we can make a personnel selection.
Without the provision of personal data by you as an applicant or interested person (f/m/d), it is naturally not possible to carry out any personnel selection or application process. Consequently, failure to provide personal data will simply mean that you cannot be considered as a candidate (f/m/d) for the vacancy.
Regarding the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights as a data subject:
- Right to information in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR
- Right to correction in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR
- Right to deletion of your data in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR
- Right to restriction of data processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR
- Right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR
In addition, pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation. In the event of an objection, we will no longer process your data for these purposes unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
You can address your objection to us at any time without any formal requirements. You can contact us using the following contact details:
